Forms 1099 for Tax Year 2025 now available on VendorWeb

Forms 1099 are now available on VendorWeb. Vendors seeking access to their Forms 1099 will need their vendor code.

Paper Forms 1099 were mailed by January 31.

Vendors with questions about their specific Form 1099, the reason for payments, or seeking to obtain their Vendor Code, should please contact the Commonwealth of Massachusetts department with whom they are doing business.

The Commonwealth follows IRS rules when generating these forms.

Massachusetts Open Checkbook Project
In order to make state spending information accessible to the public, the Executive Office for Administration and Finance, the Office of the Treasurer and the Office of the Comptroller have been working jointly on the Open Checkbook Project. On December 5, the public will be able to search state spending from three different perspectives for a specific vendor, for a specific secretariat or department, or for a particular spending category or sub-category. The pages will provide summarized information that the public will be able to explore for further detail, going down to the payment line level. To help answer any questions about the project, a pre-recorded webcast for the Commonwealth Vendors will be posted to VendorWeb November 28. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) are included in the memo to the Commonwealth Vendors.
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) is the expected method for all payments due to increased efficiency, reduced costs, and secure payments to our payees/vendors. Therefore, all contract vendors are expected to be paid via electronic payments by December 31, 2011. Hardship exceptions for vendors in contract relationships are not expected. In order to receive payment through EFT, vendors must complete the EFT form. The completed form must be submitted to the department you are doing business with to activate. If you are doing business with more than one department you only need to fill out one form and send it to one department. Please click here for further information. If you are currently receiving your payments electronically then you do not have to take any action.
